Uzbekistan create over 980,000 new jobs – President

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan created over 980,000 new jobs in 2015, of which 60% were created in rural areas, the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan dedicated to the results of 2015.
Uzbek leader said that over 480,000 graduates of colleges were employed. The commercial banks issued them preferential loans for 280 billion soums to organize their own businesses, which rose 1.3 times year-on-year.
Sustainable high economic growth development, achieved in 2015, created a firm base for further increasing the growth of salaries of employees of the budget organizations, pensions and allowances.
Uzbek leader said that the wages of employees of budget institutions, pensions and allowances increased by 21.9% and real aggregate income per capita increased by 9.6%.
In 2016, it is planned to create 990,000 new jobs. It is planned to create over 660,000 jobs via accelerating the development of small business and private entrepreneurship, as well as services sector.
Uzbek President said that Uzbekistan plans to create 510,00 new jobs for graduates of colleges and lyceums in 2016.
