Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Asian Trade Forum ended its work in Almaty, Kazakhstan. In the second day of the event, Steven Leworn, representative of Deloitte & Touche and Maximilian Felinger from Austria made presentations at the panel “The best world practices on development of exports”.
During the event, director of Samarkand-Bukhara Silk Carpets Abdulla Badgisi made presentation of the Samarkand carpets, which are exported to many countries of the world.
Another Uzbek enterprise ERMAK presented a process of production and packaging of dry fruits, which is one of important export items of Uzbekistan.
A session “Transport and logistics: new realities for development of trade in Central Asia” was dedicated to problems in this sphere of economy. The sessions on export of fruits and vegetables and development of pharmaceutical industry in Central Asia were also held.
Uzbekistan Businesswomen’s Association participated in a roundtable “Development of economic opportunities for businesswomen in Central Asia”. The event included master classes on export marketing and other actual issues of small businesses.
