Uzbekistan to simplify licensing of non-governmental educational establishments

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures on simplifying order of licensing of activities of non-governmental educational establishments in teaching foreign languages” on 14 June 2013.
The document was adopted in order to expand access to study foreign languages, simplify order of licensing of activities of the non-governmental educational establishments in training of foreign languages.
According to the resolution, Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional administrations and Tashkent city will issue licenses to non-governmental educational institutions on organization of educational courses on foreign languages from 1 August 2013.
The government also approved a regulation on order of licensing activities of non-governmental educational establishments in organization of educational courses on teaching foreign languages.
The resolution determined order of licensing of the non-governmental educational establishments in organization of educational courses on teaching foreign languages, abolishment and prolongation of licenses.
The license is issued for five years and can be prolonged in line with the set rules. The educational establishments should meet set rules to obtain license, among them are to adhere to legislation of Uzbekistan and education standards, have premises, etc.
