Lukoil plans to supply gas from Uzbekistan to China

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia’s Lukoil is planning to export natural gas from Uzbekistan to China, Vice-President of Lukoil Leonid Fedun said at the investors’ conference.
He said that the company is planning to supply gas, produced in Uzbekistan, directly to China on competitive prices.
Leonid Fedun said that Lukoil is holding negotiations with the Uzbek authorities on this issue.
He said that after completion of construction of gas pipeline from Uzbekistan to western China, Lukoil will be able to supply gas from Uzbekistan to China on very attractive prices. Lukoil is planning to produce 16 billion cubic meters of gas a year, Fedun recalled.
A designed capacity of the Uzbek part of the gas pipeline “Central Asia-China” will increase from 30 billion to 40 billion cubic meters by the end of 2013.
Asia Trans Gas will complete the first turn of the third line of the Uzbek part of the gas pipeline with the length of 318 km from Gazli (Bukhara region) to the border of Kazakhstan.
New line will increase capacity of the gas pipeline by 10 billion cubic meters and it will be launched in the beginning of 2014.
Construction of the Central Asia-China gas pipeline was launched in July 2018 and it was commissioned in December 2009. Its total length is about 7,000 km.
