The project was implemented in cooperation with Samsung Electronics (South Korea). Zenith Electronics invested over US$2.9 million to purchase new equipment within implementation of the project.

It is planned that 35% of spare parts of TV sets will be produced in Uzbekistan. It is planned that the localization level will reach 49% by 2016.

Currently, the enterprise localized production of electronic control board, front panel, back cover, stand and foam packaging. In addition, the enterprises of Uzbekistan within the framework of co-operation launched production other products and accessories, used in production of LED TV sets.

The enterprise mastered new technologies for production of electronic circuit boards for TV sets. The factory of plastic products was equipped with modern equipment for production of super-hard case products with high gloss and accessories to the basic products.

The project was implemented within the state programme of localization. It is planned that the enterprise will produce 9,900 units of products by the end of 2014 and the figure will reach 10,000 by the end of 2015.

The enterprise is planning to reach full designed capacity – 75,000 units – by the end of 2017.
