Competing in the under-66 kg weight category, he confidently advanced through the tournament bracket, securing victories over several renowned opponents.

In the final, the Uzbek judoka faced the reigning world champion, Japan’s Ryoma Tanaka. The outcome of the match was decided in extra time, where the Japanese athlete ultimately proved victorious.
