The Fifteenth International festival of Russian-speaking theatres “Meetings in Russia” was held in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on 9-14 April 2013.
Theatres from Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Israel, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Tajikistan and Estonia participated at the festival. Overall, the participants presented 12 plays.
Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan presented a play titled “Princess Turandot”, staged by Nabi Abdurahmanov, at the festival. The play was awarded with award named after Kirill Lavrov, which was handed over director of the theatre Nabi Abdurahmanov.
The award named after Kirill Lavrov was established at the Tenth International festival of Russian-speaking theatres “Meetings in Russia” in 2018. The award is aimed at supporting and developing Russian theatres abroad. The award winner is determined by the audience via voting.
