Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Asian boxing championship among boys and girls under 22 has ended in Universal sports complex in Tashkent.
It is gratifying to note that the national team of Uzbekistan rose to the highest step of the podium in the team event. Thus, once again showing and proving that the Uzbek school has no equal on the continent!
In the first half of the day, the final fights among the girls took place. 5 athletes from Uzbekistan made their way to the decisive part of the competition. It is pleasant to note that 4 of them were able to overcome their rivals and won gold medals.
As for the confrontations among young men, 12 of the boxers who made it to the final, absolutely all won gold medals. Thus, our youth team, which won 16 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals, took first place in the team standings at this prestigious tournament.
