Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The fourth session of the forum discussed the role of youth in addressing key socio-economic issues at the regional level.
It was noted that the successful development of a country, achievements in various sectors, and improvements in the quality of life for its people directly depend on how the country values education and the future of its youth.
In this context, issues such as protecting the rights and interests of youth, increasing their activity in the legislative process, and improving legislation in the field of state youth policy have been elevated to the level of state policy. Significant reforms are underway in this area.
Special attention is given to expanding and supporting the participation of young representatives in legislative activities and parliamentary oversight.
Forum participants highlighted that in Central Asian countries, youth parliaments are actively involved in political processes, contributing to important decision-making. They also emphasized the need for further acceleration in this area and the exchange of experiences.
During the session, measures were proposed to strengthen cooperation between youth parliaments of Central Asian countries, as well as to develop and actively participate in the implementation of regional socio-economic development strategies.
