The photo-exhibition was held at the Tashkent House of Photography last week. It was organized within the framework of the “Woman in society” Project now being implemented upon the initiative of the German organization “Theodore Heuss Kolleg”.

The organization supports the development of democratic responsibility and social activity of the youth in Central and Eastern Europe, the Uzbek media reported.

In line with the organizers, the main idea of the given campaign is to show the role of the socially active women in Uzbekistan in the social life of the country with the help of the photographs.

Peculiarities of the exposition which includes 45 photographs and collages is that the visitors can see not o­nly the author’s works by professional photographers, but also the people who do not have special skills and knowledge in this kind of profession but want to express their own artistic concepts and ideas o­n the topic “Woman in society”.

The same day the exhibition has been opened the winners of the contest have been awarded the valuable prizes, the reports have said.
