Youth Eco Campaign “Train to the Aral Sea” to be held in late May
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 28 to 31 May 2025, the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan will host the annual youth environmental campaign “Train to the Aral Sea”. The initiative aims to draw attention to the ecological challenges of the Aral Sea region and to encourage active youth engagement in addressing these issues.
As part of the campaign, a group of proactive, talented, and socially responsible young people from across Uzbekistan will travel through the Aral Sea region. Participants will witness firsthand the environmental consequences of the crisis in the area, contributing to greater public awareness about the importance of environmental protection.
The program includes ecological workshops, presentations of youth-led social initiatives, and environmental activities such as tree planting and cleanup efforts. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with local communities and explore the region’s cultural and historical heritage.
The “Train to the Aral Sea” campaign unites environmentally conscious youth each year, fostering a strong environmental ethic, civic responsibility, patriotism, and social initiative. The project represents a meaningful step in shaping a new generation committed to building a sustainable future for the country.
