Young Uzbek chess masters win four medals at Asian Championship
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Young chess masters from Uzbekistan won four medals at the Ninth Asian Chess Championship among schoolchildren, which is taking place in Sri Lanka, on rapid chess.

In particular, Uzbek chess masters clinched two gold medals and two silver medals of the Asian Championship on rapid chess.

Dilbar Hamrayeva collected 6.5 points among girls at the age up to 11 to win the gold medal of the tournament.

Shamsiddin Vahidov did not lose any of his matches in the competition among boys at the age of 11 to collect six points of seven and gold medals of the Asian Championship.

Artik Negmatov and Hodjiakbar Faziljanov won silver medals of the championship, UzA reported.

Currently, young chess masters of Uzbekistan are participating in the tournament on classic chess. Hodjiakbar Fazilhanov, Shamsiddin Vahidov and Artik Negmatov are leading after two rounds.
