Young professionals teach master classes to budding musicians
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 and 28 February, Iskander Kamilov, one of the best violinists of Stockholm Orchestra, and Igor Iofe, a composition student at the Amsterdam Conservatory – both graduates of Uspensky Music School in Tashkent – taught master classes for the students of the school.

The two young professionals shared their experience with, demonstrated their skills and taught new techniques to those gathered.

On February 24, Iskander Kamilov led a master class in conjunction with the Youth Symphonic Orchestra. Together they played excerpts from classical pieces and went on to answer questions from budding musicians. The audience included heads of several music schools in Tashkent.

During his February 28 master class Igor Iofe, also a graduate of Uspensky Music School, focused on music writing skills and ways of generating original sounds using classical music instruments. A former music instructor at Uspensky Music School, Iofe is now honing his skills at the Amsterdam Conservatory. At his master class he presented several music pieces he composed and demonstrated music instrument playing techniques on the cello and the piano in a manner that exuded utmost professionalism.

According to the students of Uspensky Music School, the master classes gave them an opportunity not only to get interesting and useful information but also to converse with the students who started their artistic pathway at Uspensky and have achieved big success internationally.
