Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Young specialists of Uzbekistan, including in the field of medicine, are increasingly showing themselves in the international scientific field. Thus, having completed a competition for young scientists, Edward Akhmadiev, a 29-year-old doctor at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health of Uzbekistan, presented his research at a conference marathon in St. Petersburg.

His scientific work was devoted to modern research aimed at making an accurate diagnosis of a condition such as preeclampsia, which threatens the health of the mother and the unborn child. The report of a young representative of medical science from Uzbekistan was recognized as having a practical orientation for doctors, and aroused significant interest among colleagues.

According to E. Akhmadiev, the conference impressed with its scale, significant number of scientific and practical innovations and developments. Subsequently, the best of them will be discussed with colleagues from the Republican Center for Maternal and Child Health and its regional branches for possible use in the domestic healthcare system.

In general, three scientific reports were presented from Uzbekistan at the anniversary X All-Russian conference marathon “Perinatal medicine: from preconception preparation to healthy motherhood and childhood” held on 15-17 February in St. Petersburg. In addition, 5 more Uzbek specialists took part in the forum. Specialists from Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Poland spoke as foreign participants at the conference marathon, along with representatives of Uzbekistan.

The conference marathon is designed to unite the joint efforts of obstetricians-gynecologists, neonatologists, and pediatricians to improve medical care for women and children. Over the course of 3 days, the best Russian industry experts and representatives of other countries discussed in detail topics related to perinatal medicine, obstetrics and other important aspects of maternal and child health.

This year, 188 sections were organized here, at which 274 speakers spoke, and 546 reports were presented. There were 2,981 participants in the face-to-face format alone; another 5,762 specialists joined the forum online.

Representatives of the Republican Center for Maternal and Child Health traditionally take part in this large-scale event, which is for them both an opportunity to exchange new medical technologies and a platform for discussing cooperation in the field of practical medicine and specialized education.

Memorandums of cooperation organize internships for specialists from Uzbekistan in these medical centers, as well as visits by representatives of St. Petersburg to the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health in Tashkent for the purpose of mutual exchange of scientific and practical experience, conducting master classes and training sessions.

The heads of partner Russian medical centers were invited to take part in the anniversary conference “Current Issues in Obstetrics and Gynecology”, which will be held on 18-19 October in Tashkent and will be dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the organization of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology, on the basis of which it was organized the current Maternal and Child Health Center.
