Yolqin To’ychiev’s film receives award in France
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Last film of the Uzbek director Yolqin To’ychiev “Postscript” received recognition at the international festival of the Asian Cinema, which was held in French city of Vesoul from 8 to 15 February 2011.

Yolqin To’ychiev received three prizes Cyclo d'Or (Golden Bicycle), Prize of Netpac Network on promotion of Asian Cinema and Prize of Guimet Museum.

In 2005, French film lovers opened Yolqin To’ychiev for themselves with film “Teenager”, which was presented at the Three Continent Festival in Nantes. The film was presented at the Festival “Pour Eveiller les Regards” in Oberwil in 2006 and at the Festival “Ecrans Juniors” in Cannes in 2007.

His film “Source” received the prize for the best film in category of Perspectives (designed for young directors) at the prestigious International Film Festival in Moscow in 2006. The film attracted interest of international jury of Asian Cinema film in Vesoul, where he received special prize.

After success of retrospective show about Ali Hamraev at Three Continents Festival in Nantes in November 2010, the prizes of Yolqin To’ychiev in Vesoul confirms success of the Uzbek cinema at the French festivals.
