Yangi Avlod-2013 qualification rounds complete in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Regional qualification rounds of the “Yangi avlod” Children’s Creativity Festival (New Generation) are held in 12 regions of Uzbekistan of rom 18 October to 13 November 2013.

Yangi Avlod Children’s Creativity Festival is designed to reveal young talents, further development of their talent in musical and fine arts, support of their creative potential as well as have a successful start to the grand art while performing on the same stage with celebrities.

Children creative teams can participate in the contest as well as individual nominees aged from 6 to 14 years.

Children creative teams and individual nominees can take part in the Festival in such directions as Classics (fortepiano, string, wind and percussion musical instruments), Vocal (traditional, academic and pop-singing), National instruments (string, percussion and stringed instruments played by plucking), Dances (national, sporting, modern and ballroom dances, ballet), Fine and applied arts, Poetry, literature and theatre scripts. All pieces are performed without a soundtrack, all viewings and listenings are open to public.

Dildora Jamalova, chairperson of the republican jury of the festival and director of Republican Musical Specialized Academic Lyceum named after Uspensy said that the festival marks its 10th anniversary this year. She said that the festival opened up many young stars and helped them to develop their talents. She noted that the festival is attracting more and more youngsters.

In last ten years, some 163,510 applications were submitted to the festival. In 2013, the festival organizers received 35,835 applications. Some 3,361 children won in the festival.

As a tradition, the festival’s final stage will be held in Tashkent. The winners of the regional stages will compete in the final stage.
