Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 March, Yang Jiechi, member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, head of the office of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, answered questions of the media on his visit to Central Asian countries - Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

According to him, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are friendly neighboring countries and the main strategic partners of China, together they are the founding countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. In recent years, relations between China and these three states have reached rapid development.

Yang Jiechi said: “During the visit, I met with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev, and also held talks with other dignitaries of these three countries, “checking the hours” and making plans for a number of key issues in bilateral relations and pragmatic cooperation, we exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual interest.

According to the leaders of the three countries, it is necessary to seize the opportunities from the implementation of important agreements reached by the President of China Xi Jinping and the leaders of the three states, to facilitate the integration of the One Belt and One Road Initiative and the development strategies of the three countries, to deepen mutual communication and communication, to transform desires and potential cooperation between China and the three countries in real results, to promote the development of Sino-Tajik, Sino-Uzbek and Sino-Kazakh relations, give new impetus to the proper development of the country and the development of the region and to benefit its peoples and the peoples of the whole world.

Yang said that ensuring security, stability and prosperity in Central Asia is a common desire of China and the countries of Central Asia. The Chinese government has always developed relations with the countries of Central Asia on the basis of friendship, mutual benefit and an inclusive diplomatic principle. Deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the countries of Central Asia meets the interests of the people, and no external forces can prevent this. “We believe that cooperation between China and Central Asia will lead to a better future,” Yang Jiechi said.
