Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Yandex Uzbekistan is acquiring part of the assets of the delivery service Express24, as reported by Gazeta.uz.
In response to an inquiry from UzDaily, Yandex Uzbekistan did not confirm or deny the information regarding the acquisition.
While the deal’s amount has not been disclosed, the parties have agreed to create a unified technological platform for food delivery in Uzbekistan, integrating the capabilities of Yandex Go and Express24 services.
To implement these plans, Yandex will purchase part of Express24’s assets. According to Yandex Uzbekistan, the deal will be finalized soon, and the Express24 app will continue to operate.
Once the transaction is complete, the Yandex Go Eats and Express24 services will move to a common technological platform, which will enhance order density and improve courier efficiency, allowing them to complete more deliveries and earn more.
For users, this means faster delivery and a wider selection of restaurants. Express24 partners will be able to expand their delivery areas and access new promotional tools.
Founded in 2017, Express24 specializes in delivering ready-to-eat meals, grocery items, and products from markets.
In September 2024, Yandex Uzbekistan was led by former Newmax Technologies director Izzat Shukurov, who was involved in launching Express24.
