Yandex Uzbekistan launches new rapid food delivery service "Lavka"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Yandex Uzbekistan has launched a new rapid food delivery service called Lavka. Now, residents and guests of Tashkent can order groceries, household items, and ready-to-eat meals with delivery in just 15 minutes.

The new Lavka service also allows customers to order freshly brewed coffee, with over 3,000 products and 50 hot dishes available. One of the key features of the service is its support for local producers and the use of technology to control quality at every stage of the order process. Lavka will be integrated with the Yandex Go app for Tashkent.

Delivery is made from three dark stores located on Nukus Street, Arnasay Street, and in the Chilanzar area. Each dark store is equipped with dark kitchens where hot meals such as hot dogs, burgers, and snacks are prepared. Lavka will also offer donuts, milkshakes, and hot coffee. It is planned that by the end of 2025, up to 12 dark stores will be operating in the city.

Lavka works closely with local suppliers, offering dairy products from Essi, sausages from Rozmetov, and fresh fruits and vegetables. The service provides suppliers with a new sales channel, contributing to their growth.

Couriers deliver orders on foot, by bicycle (including electric bikes), or by car, and they are insured against accidents.

"The launch of the Lavka service in Tashkent will create new jobs for warehouse workers, cooks, and dark store employees, as well as provide income for couriers. Initially, over 160 vacancies will be available in the city, and by the end of 2025, as new warehouses open, the number of jobs will grow to 500. Each dark store will have a designated rest area," said Izzat Shukurov, head of Yandex Uzbekistan.

Lavka is the ideal service for quickly replenishing your fridge or for unexpected guests. Users can also diversify their meals by trying new dishes. The service is personalized to each user’s preferences, offering tailored recommendations and purchase history.

New users can get a discount on their first order, and the first three deliveries will be free.
