Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 September, Yandex Uzbekistan opened applications for free Python programming courses at its Programming School. As programming becomes increasingly essential in today’s world, the skills gained at the Yandex School of Programming can pave the way for a successful career in IT.

Students aged 14-17 can apply for the school. This year, courses will be offered not only in Tashkent but also in two new cities—Samarkand and Urgench (Khorezm Region), with an expanded number of spots in Tashkent.

High school students attending the course will learn the fundamentals of Python programming, including key concepts, structures, and libraries of the language.

This year, the project’s partners include Inha University in Tashkent, Wepro in Samarkand, and IT Park Horazm in Urgench. These leading educational and technological institutions will provide students with high-quality education and access to modern technologies. Classes will be held twice a week in person at these locations, each session lasting 1.5 hours.

The Yandex Programming School offers a unique opportunity for young people to receive top-tier programming education completely free of charge.

Admission to the school consists of two stages: testing and an interview. Interested students must first submit an application via the link: https://codingschool.yandex.uz/ru. Upon registration, applicants will receive an email with a link to the test. Those who pass the test will be invited for an interview. Applications and testing are open until 6 October.

Graduates of the Programming School can continue their IT education online by enrolling in Yandex Lyceum’s specializations. These free, three-month courses include Web Development with Django, Data Analysis, Machine Learning, Big Data, and Go Programming. The specializations offer in-depth training in fields such as software development, data analytics, and machine learning.

Yandex Programming School is an international project designed to teach the basics of Python programming to students aged 14-17. The project first launched in Uzbekistan in 2023 in Tashkent, with financial and expert support from Yandex Go.
