Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Throughout November, Yandex Uzbekistan will conduct a charitable campaign titled “Generous November.” Every user who places orders through Yandex Go services on Fridays will have the opportunity to participate in the initiative.
For every 10 kilometers traveled in all Taxi and Delivery tariffs, the company will donate 50 soums to charity. Additionally, for each Friday order in Yandex Food exceeding 60,000 soums, the funds will receive 500 soums.
The collected funds will be equally distributed among the charitable organizations “Mothers’ House,” “Teach for Uzbekistan,” “ONA,” and “Sharoit Plus.”
Umida Yuldasheva, director of Teach for Uzbekistan, stated: “Quality education is a vital step towards a better future for children. Participation in the ‘Generous November’ campaign helps engage more people in our mission. Thank you, Yandex Uzbekistan, for the opportunity, and to everyone participating in the project for their support.”
Gulnosa Telmanovna Gafurova, head of the branch of the International Fund “Mothers’ House” in Uzbekistan, commented: “We believe that every mother deserves support, and every child deserves a chance to grow up in a family. We are happy to be among the organizations joining this campaign. Together with Yandex Uzbekistan and its users, we can ensure that fewer children end up in orphanages.”
The “Generous November” campaign from Yandex Uzbekistan will take place in the country for the third time. This is one of the company’s projects aimed at supporting NGOs. Beneficiaries and specialized staff from several partner organizations also receive free rides and deliveries through Yandex Go as part of an ongoing charitable program.
Thanks to the donations collected during the “Generous November” campaign in 2023, the Sharoit Plus fund was able to partially cover expenses for the major renovation of a building where people with disabilities will study and work.
The “Kapalak Bolalar” organization conducted workshops on health literacy. The ONA fund directed resources toward scholarship payments for students and supporting educational institutions.
In total, Yandex Uzbekistan donated 101 million soums to charitable organizations as a result of the “Generous November” campaign in 2023.
