Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  YandexGo UB LLC, Yandex Eats LLC, and Express24 APP LLC have been recognized as operators of digital platforms with dominant positions (monopolies) in the market, according to the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the Antimonopoly Committee’s order, YandexGo UB has been identified as the dominant operator in the market for taxi aggregator services.

Meanwhile, Yandex Eats and Express24 APP (the Express24 service) have been designated as dominant operators in the market for food delivery and other consumer goods.

This decision was based on notifications from Yandex Eats and YandexGo UB regarding their dominant positions in the specified sectors.

The Committee positively evaluated YandexGo UB and Yandex Eats for their compliance with new regulatory norms.

Additionally, the Committee announced that a compliance system will be implemented for digital platform operators with dominant positions to combat monopolies and prevent abuses of dominance in accordance with competition law. Corresponding monitoring will also be conducted.

It was previously reported that Yandex Uzbekistan is acquiring a portion of the assets of the delivery service Express24.
