Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Yandex Go launched in Samarkand today. The users can get to any point in the city by downloading the application and entering destination in it. The service itself will determine the position of the user when geolocation is enabled and will find the driver who will arrive the fastest.
The cost of trips starts from 2500 soums. For example, getting from the Makon Mall shopping center to the Gur-Emir mausoleum will cost about 3,400 soums, from Registan Square to the Alisher Navoi Recreation Park - about 3,300 soums. This is the best deal in town, Yandex Go claims.
“Now residents and guests of Samarkand no longer need to catch a car on the street or waste time making calls. At the same time, all the necessary information is immediately visible on the phone screen, for example, the model and number of the car, when it is time to go out. The trip data is stored in the application, a support service is also available there, which works seven days a week and holidays,” comments Tamirlan Shapiev, Executive Director of Yandex Go for the development of markets in Central Asia.
In Samarkand, the exact price of the trip is known to users immediately at the time of ordering the car - just enter the address of the destination in the application. Even if the driver has to deviate from the route due to road repairs, the price will not change. You can pay for the trip in cash.
Yandex Go uses its own technologies: maps, routing, navigation, and a smart order distribution system. It is technologies that make travel more accessible to users and at the same time provide drivers with a decent income.
Yandex Go was launched in Uzbekistan in April 2018. In addition to Samarkand, the service also operates in five cities: Tashkent, Ferghana, Margilan, Namangan and Andijan. Yandex Go does not have its own drivers and cars. The service cooperates with local carriers. The free app is available for iOS and Android in Uzbek, Russian and many other languages.
