Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first charter flight of the Russian airline Yamal landed at Namangan International Airport on 17 September with 221 passengers on board. 

The Airbus A321 aircraft, which made the first passenger flight on the Moscow-Namangan-Moscow route, was traditionally greeted with a water arch.

“Today, an aircraft of the Russian airline Yamal landed at Namangan International Airport for the first time. The A-321 aircraft delivered 221 passengers to their destination along the Moscow-Namangan route," the press service of Uzbekistan Airport said.

The carrier will fly from Moscow Domodedovo Airport (DME) to Tashkent Airport (TAS) 2 times a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, to Namangan Airport (NMA) 1 time per week on Saturdays. The flight time was 3 hours 30 minutes.
