Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 September, Samarkand International Airport received the first passenger flight of the Russian air carrier Yamal.

The Airbus A321 aircraft from Moscow (Domodedovo) landed at the Samarkand airport, where it was solemnly greeted with a water arch.

Charter flights on the route Moscow - Samarkand - Moscow of Yamal Airlines will be operated once a week on Tuesdays. Departure from Samarkand is at 08:00 local time.

Yamal Airlines began operations in 1997. Today it is one of the largest air carriers in the West Siberian region of Russia.
