Yale University hosts Fund Forum presentation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Yale University, one of the oldest higher education institutions in the USA, hosted a presentation of Uzbek culture and arts and Fund Forums international activities and major projects.

The professors and students attending the event learned about the Asrlar Sadosi Festival of Traditional Culture, Style.Uz Art Week and other projects overseen by Fund Forum as well as about the Center for Political Studies.

Organized by the Fund Forum Representative Office in New York and the Permanent Mission of Uzbekistan to the UN, the presentation was an opportunity for those gathered to also learn about programs offered by Kelajak Ovozi (Voice of the Future) Center for Youth Initiatives and Kelajak Tour Bureau of International and Youth Tourism and Cooperation. Of particular interest was information about the activities of the Center for Political Studies.

The audience also watched a video about Fund Forum that demonstrated the full spectrum of activities run by the leading and the largest public organization not only in Uzbekistan but also in Central Asia. Yale University students looked through colorful magazines and catalogs about Kelajak Ovozi, the Echo of Centuries Festival, Style.Uz Art Week, the Women’s Council, the Social Initiatives Support Fund (SISF) and the Center for Political Studies.

The organizers also presented a copy of the photo album “Fund Forum Presents Uzbekistan”, a trademark Fund Forum publication that reflects Uzbekistan’s unique cultural heritage and ancient architectural landmarks, to Yale University Library.

Besides learning about Uzbekistan’s ancient history and its contemporary development, the attendees had the opportunity to sample national Uzbek meals.

The presentation was set up as part of the seminar “Prospects of Regional Security and Sustainable Development in Central Asia: Uzbekistan’s Perspective” held at Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies.

Founded in 1701, Yale University is a private Ivy League university located in New Haven, Connecticut. It comprises three major academic components: Yale College (the undergraduate program), the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and the professional schools. In addition, Yale encompasses a wide array of centers and programs, libraries, museums, and administrative support offices. It is attended by over 11,000 students. Yale has educated top American leaders such as former US presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Gerald Ford. Other prominent alumni include American film stars Meryl Streep, Jodie Foster, Paul Newman and David Duchovny among others.
