Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 June, Beijing hosted a high-level video conference on international cooperation within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road”.

Chinese President Xi Jinping made a written statement at the event. The main theme of the conference is “Strengthening international cooperation within the framework of the One Belt, One Road Initiative. Joint fight against the coronavirus epidemic."

Xi Jinping noted that the sudden epidemic brought serious threats and challenges to the security of life and health of peoples of different countries of the world, and dealt a blow to the global economy. Some countries, and especially developing countries, face enormous socio-economic problems. To counter the epidemic, different states, based on the real situation, have adopted effective anti-epidemic measures and achieved effective results. China is ready to contribute to the global fight and control of the epidemic and to help revive the global economy.

Xi Jinping stressed that the epidemic brought a series of deep revelations. The fates of different countries are closely intertwined. Humanity is a community of one destiny that maintains solidarity and acts together.

We all sail in the same boat. Promoting interaction and interconnection, promoting openness and tolerance is the only way to cope with global crises and achieve long-term development. And international cooperation within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative will be able to play an important role in this direction and in joint development.
