Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The VI World Nomad Games will be held in Uzbekistan in 2026, according to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.

In 2024, the Nomad Games will take place in Astana from 8 to 14 September. The event has been held three times in Kyrgyzstan and once in Turkey. The games are organized every two years.

At the Nomad Games, athletes compete in thirty traditional sports of nomadic peoples, including horse racing, archery, freestyle wrestling, and kok-boru (a horseback game involving a goat carcass).

Uzbekistan’s national team has participated in the Nomad Games since 2014 and has won over fifty medals.
