According to the legislation, Joe Biden is provided with access to federal funds (US$7.3 million), a temporary office for two months, and the opportunity to participate in briefings on national security in the presence of D. Trump.

Under US law, the outgoing administration must work with the new president’s team to ensure stability and continuity.

II. According to experts, the beginning of the formal process of the transfer of power became inevitable against the background of the development of disputes over the election results.

First, Donald Trump failed to provide evidence of "fraud" in the elections. According to Politico, a number of White House dignitaries have already stated that recognition of Joe Biden’s victory is imminent, as states such as Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania have confirmed his victory.

Lawyers for the presidential team are trying to challenge some of these decisions in the courts of appeal, but, according to the Financial Times, Trump himself no longer believes in their success.

Third, there is little likelihood that the electors will reject the decision of the states during the voting procedure on December 14. According to The New York Times, the current US leader personally lobbied state lawmakers to undo Biden’s victory, and also put pressure on local and state officials, but his efforts did not find support.

Nevertheless, Donald Trump said that the decision to start the process of transferring power to Joe Biden does not mean that the current administration has agreed with the results of the last elections. According to him, his team "will resolutely continue the struggle" and believes in their victory in the elections.
