Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The World Boxing Cup, held from 31 March to 5 April in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, has concluded. Today, the final matches took place, with Uzbekistan’s national team delivering a strong and impressive performance.

Under the guidance of head coach Tulkin Kilichev, the men's national team achieved remarkable results: seven Uzbek boxers reached the finals, with five of them securing gold medals. Two others came close to victory but fell short.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan’s team earned medals in eight out of ten men's weight categories, winning in five of them. This success once again secured Uzbekistan the first place in the overall team standings.

Brazil finished second with three gold, two silver, and four bronze medals, while Kazakhstan took third place with three golds (two in men's categories and one in women's) and three bronze medals.

The tournament champions included Asilbek Jalilov (50 kg), Fazliddin Erkinboev (75 kg), Javahir Ummataliev (80 kg), Turabek Khabibullaev (90 kg), and Jahongir Zakirov (+90 kg).
