Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 April to 3 May 2019, a World Bank mission led by Mr. Raoul Felix Junker-Varela, a leading public sector specialist, will visit the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan.

The main objectives of the mission are to assess tax administration, ICT needs, automation and process mapping. The assessment is carried out in close cooperation with the staff of the State Tax Committee.

The assessment of foreign experts of information and communication technologies in the tax organization of the republic will allow collecting data and information to get a general picture of how these technologies are implemented in what differs from standard international best practices in order to identify vulnerabilities and strengths. At the same time, the efficiency and coverage of tax systems with modern technologies will become clear.

During the World Bank mission, a number of training sessions and seminars for the committee’s staff will be held.
