The project cost is US$240 million. The World Bank loan was issued due to resources of the International Development Association (IDA). The IDA loan was issued to Uzbekistan for 25 years with 5 year grace period. Uzbekistan will issue US$40 million of own resources to the project.
In the first phase, the funds will be directed to capital repair of automobile roads of general use of local importance in Tashkent region at ten areas with total length of 90 km.
The second stage envisages capital repair works in Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions.
Overall, about 300 km automobile roads will be reconstructed within the project, which will be completed in September 2021.
