The meeting was attended by heads of departments of Uzbekistan Pochtasi, representatives of Halqaro Pochtampt, Toshkent Pochtamti and UzAloqaConsulting.

Participants discussed results of work within the programme on modernization of postal communication network up to 2010, approved by the resolution of Cabinet of Ministers from 19 May 2005 and the first stage of the project on modernization of postal communication network, introduction and development of new service based on information-communication technologies, approved on 18 May 2009, as well as perspectives of development and modernization of postal communication on the base of ICT.

The session adopted corresponding decision directed at speeding up the second phase of the project on modernization of postal communication network, introduction and development of new service based on ICT in 2011-2012 and its feasibility study.
