Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- To date, work continues on the creation of a tourist village "Konigil" in Samarkand region. According to the concept for the creation of the Konigil tourist village, a circular path is being built on an area of 3 hectares so that tourists can walk along the Siyob River and relax in nature.
“There will be 14 farms along the 800-meter ring path, which will demonstrate to visitors various types of handicrafts reflecting local traditions, as well as conditions are created for the development of such types of tourism as ethno-tourism, agritourism, gastronomic, etc.,” said Dilshod Narzikulov, Director of the Department for Tourism Development of Samarkand Region.
Employees of the tourism development department of Samarkand region and responsible persons are working on the organization of family guest houses, new craft centers, animation centers reflecting local traditions, as well as creating conditions for the development of such types of tourism as ethno-tourism, agritourism, gastronomic, etc.
It should be noted that the family guest house "Konigil house" was one of the first in the village to start its activities. In addition, a bakery has been created on the territory, where master classes on making the world famous Samarkand bread will be demonstrated, during which they will share the secrets of baking with visitors.
A pottery production center also started operating in the region. Renovation work is also being completed in the rice mill building, preserving the national identity. When the historic appearance of the rice mill is restored, visitors will be shown the process of making rice.
