Woodcarving studio launched in Tashkent region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An opening of a woodcarving studio “O’ymakor” of the people’s painter of Uzbekistan and member of the “IJOD” Association of artists, art critics and craftsmen of Uzbekistan Sirojiddin Rakhmatullaev took place in Tashkent region on 22 August 2013.

Relatives and friends of the master, his colleagues and students, and others participated at the opening ceremony.

One of the main guests of the ceremony was prominent representative of Tashkent woodcarving school Ortiq Fayzullaev. He was teacher of Sirojiddin Rakhmatullaev.

After the welcoming ceremony, new studio has been opened. Several young students already started work at the studio.

“IJOD” Association of artists, art critics and craftsmen of Uzbekistan has been working to preserve national values and training new generation to traditional types of craft. So, the association supported Sirojiddin Rakhmatullaev to open his studio.

Works of Sirojiddin Rakhmatullaev are exhibited both in Uzbekistan and abroad for a long time. His students work on decoration of largest architectural buildings across Uzbekistan.

In particular, they worked at such construction of such buildings as Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Imam Al-Bukhari, Naqshbandi Complex, Shahidlar Hiyoboni, Uzbekistan International Forums Palace, Marifat Markazi, and others.
