Women Technology and Innovation Week starts in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Women Technology and Innovation Week will be held in Uzbekistan on 23-28 March 2018 within the framework of the largest technological program for girls - Technovation Uzbekistan.

Rekha Pai, mentor and Judge of the international programs TechWomen and Technovation from California, Diana Tsoi, regional ambassador and initiator of Technovation Kazakhstan, and Bakhtigul Kasimova, expert on beginner startup projects from Kazakhstan are the guests of the Women Technology and Innovation Week.

The events of the Week will also feature local experts – women, who have chosen a career in the fields of STEM and digital entrepreneurship. Among them are Shakhlo Turdikulova, PhD of Biology, Deputy Director of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Rezida Erdman, PR expert, Dilafruz Jiyranova, Senior Manager of digital marketing at Beeline Uzbekistan.

The Women Technology and Innovation Week will cover such topics as technological startups, social entrepreneurship, mentoring and career choice. Special attention will be paid to activities of women in business and science.

Participants will also take part in master-classes on business models, preparation for presentations, individual and practical sessions for participants of Technovation-2018, during which teams and mentors will learn the best foreign practices. The participants of the Week will also pay visit to the Center of High Technologies. All events of the Week are open for participants and mentors of Technovation Uzbekistan-2017/2018, while public can take part in the session, held on 25 March 2018.

The Women Technology and Innovation Week is by the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Inha University in Tashkent, the United Nations Development Program Office in Uzbekistan, the UN Office in Uzbekistan, the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, US Embassy in Uzbekistan at the support of USAID, Green Business Innovation, Brand.uz, StartupMix, Startupfactory.uz, Center for Higher Technolgies.
