Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A young woman died in a new building elevator that stopped due to a power outage in Tashkent.

A 32-year-old woman who worked as a postman did not return home on 24 July after delivering letters to addresses.

On the night of 28 July, a woman was found without signs of life in the elevator of a new building in Yashnabad district of Tashkent.

Due to scheduled power outages in Tashkent, the elevator got stuck on the top floor of the house.

Since the new building is not yet fully occupied by residents, no one reacted to the malfunction of the elevator and no one helped the woman.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan is studying the causes and circumstances of the woman’s death.
