The tournament was held between 15th and 16th November in the Sports Complex of Westminster International University in Tashkent, where participants competed in teams of doubles – male, female and mixed pairs.

Participants included WIUT badminton club, Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, sports club “Chorsu” and the embassies of the United Kingdom, the People’s Republic of China, India, Indonesia and South Korea, as well as other sports fans.

In an intriguing struggle between the rivals for the championship of the tournament, WIUT badminton club players took record breaking 5 winning places, including the first place in all three categories, illustrating the high attention to badminton in the university. Other winning places went to the teams of the “Chorsu” sports club and the badminton club of the 110th school. The winners were awarded with diplomas and medals from WIUT and the Badminton Federation, including special prizes.
