Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Entrepreneurship is the backbone of the economy. It creates added value, jobs, and provides the economy and consumers with goods and services. However, entrepreneurial activity is always accompanied by financial and other risks. Entrepreneurship development directly depends on stimulating legislation and fiscal policy.

Within the framework of the II Economic Forum of Uzbekistan, a business breakfast was held on the theme "Pathways to successful entrepreneurship", organized in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). 

The event, built in the format of interactive discussions, brought together experts from international financial institutions, representatives of the private sector, government departments, commercial banks and the media.

The speakers at the business breakfast were Alkis Drakinos, Head of the EBRD Office in Uzbekistan, Omonullo Nasritdinkhojaev, First Deputy Minister of Finance, as well as representatives of local and foreign companies. During the discussions, business representatives shared their experience in business management, methods of attracting funding and overcoming difficulties on the entrepreneurial path.

The business breakfast was also attended by assistants to khokims on business development, employment and poverty reduction. It was noted that such discussions will contribute to the development of skills to identify drivers and directions for the development of entrepreneurship in mahallas, taking into account the internal capabilities, specialization of entrepreneurship and labor resources of mahallas.
