Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first winter complex competitions “Children of Asia” among young athletes under 16 years old are taking place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Young talents from more than 20 countries, including representatives of Uzbekistan, will compete for prizes.

Yesterday the opening ceremony of the tournament was held. According to the tradition of all complex competitions, national teams went out with the flag of their country. The sports delegation of Uzbekistan also took part in the parade. The standard-bearer of the Uzbekistan team was the mountain skier Medet Nazarov.
