Winners of the "Study UK Alumni Awards 2025" in Uzbekistan Recognized

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 January 2025, a ceremony was held in Tashkent to honor the winners of the national "Study UK Alumni Awards 2025" program. The event took place at the residence of the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Uzbekistan and gathered representatives from the government, education, business sectors, and alumni of British universities.

The ceremony, organized by the British Council in Uzbekistan and the British Embassy, became a significant event for Uzbek professionals who have applied the knowledge gained from UK institutions to contribute to the development of their country. This year, awards were presented in four key categories: Business and Innovation, Culture and Creativity, Science and Sustainable Development, and Social Impact.

The winners of the "Study UK Alumni Awards 2025" are:

Business and Innovation: Shakhboz Ibodullaev, Trade Advisor at the British Embassy in Tashkent, graduate of Westminster International University in Tashkent.

Culture and Creativity: Sirojiddin Olimov, CEO of the audiobook and e-book platform "Mutolaa," graduate of the University of Edinburgh.

Science and Sustainable Development: Munira Begmuratova, Senior Software Engineer at "TopTal," graduate of Westminster International University in Tashkent.

Social Impact: Orzugul Goibova, Project Manager at "Top 100 Uni," graduate of the University of Bristol.

In his speech, the British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Timothy Smart, noted that these winners are living examples of how UK education helps create successful leaders who make significant contributions to the development of Uzbekistan and strengthen bilateral relations between the countries.

The ceremony also recognized the finalists:

Business and Innovation: Elena Kholina (University of Oxford) and Munozhat Sultonova (London Birkbeck University).

Culture and Creativity: Alexandra Li (University of Sunderland) and Aziza Pulatova (Westminster International University in Tashkent).

Science and Sustainable Development: Akbarbek Bakhodyrov (University of Sussex) and Mushtariy Khamidullaeva (Cardiff Metropolitan University).

Social Impact: Azizbek Toirov (University of Glasgow) and Gulnaz Bektemirova (Westminster International University in Tashkent).

The "Study UK Alumni Awards" program annually recognizes the outstanding achievements of alumni of British universities worldwide. This year marked the eleventh time these awards were presented. The awards not only acknowledge professional success but also inspire new students by highlighting the importance of international education and professional growth.

The organizers expressed confidence that the examples of these outstanding alumni will serve as a source of inspiration for future generations of students striving for success and contributing to the development of their countries.
