Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An international bike ride took place on 30 March, which coincided with celebration of the Year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan along the Shymkent-Tashkent route.

The bike ride started from Shymkent city Akimat building. The ceremonial finish was held near the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan. The total length of the route was 130 km.

The prize three looks like this:

1st place: Alexey Sedorenko (Kazakhstan)

2 Matthew Wright (England)

3 Shohrukh Yunusov (Uzbekistan)

Memorable prizes were also awarded to the oldest participants - Svetlana Isaeva (50 years old) and Hursanda Sherova (61 years old).

“The event was organized perfectly. The consistency of customs and border guards is very pleased. I often visited Tashkent, but for the first time I managed to take a ride through the blocked wide streets of this beautiful city, enjoying the beauty of architecture for the first time, and these are unforgettable impressions. Amateur mass sport brings people together. Such friendly events confirm that the centuries-old traditions of friendship are only becoming stronger from year to year. I am glad that I managed to win and, taking this opportunity, I want to invite the Uzbeks to take part in our mass events, which are often held here in Kazakhstan,” the winner Alexey Sedorenko said.
