Will Geely Bring EVs to Uzbekistan with Advanced 11-in-1 Electric Drive Technology?

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Geely, a leading Chinese automotive manufacturer, has announced plans to enter the Uzbek market in 2025 with a range of vehicles. While there is interest in the potential launch of electric and hybrid models, specific timelines for these vehicles in Uzbekistan remain unconfirmed.

A highlight of Geely's newer electric vehicles is their use of InfiMotion's 11-in-1 electric drive technology. This system integrates key components—such as the motor, inverter, gearbox, and cooling system—into a single, compact unit. Traditionally, these parts function independently in electric vehicles, but InfiMotion’s design unifies them, bringing numerous benefits. This configuration not only enhances efficiency but also reduces weight and improves reliability, leading to longer driving ranges and lower energy consumption.

One standout feature of the 11-in-1 system is its oil-cooling mechanism, which prevents overheating by keeping temperatures stable even during high-speed driving. This high-efficiency design boosts power density by 80% and achieves an energy conversion rate exceeding 90%, making it a significant advancement over many current EV technologies.

Whether this cutting-edge technology will be introduced in Uzbekistan is still uncertain. Geely’s initial models in Uzbekistan may focus on gasoline-powered vehicles, with EVs potentially following as the market evolves. Given the global shift toward electric mobility and Uzbekistan’s growing commitment to sustainable practices, there is a strong case for Geely to bring this technology to the market if conditions are favorable.

Geely Auto's Brand and Communications Manager, Mr. Levi, stated that the company plans to conduct market research and test drives in Uzbekistan before introducing its lineup. After evaluating consumer preferences, Geely aims to adapt its offerings to meet local demand.

If Geely brings electric vehicles with 11-in-1 technology to Uzbekistan, local consumers can anticipate several benefits:

1. Extended Driving Range: The system’s efficiency enables longer distances on a single charge—advantageous for Uzbek drivers who often travel long routes and are witnessing gradual improvements in charging infrastructure.

2. Lower Costs: By consolidating components into a single unit, production costs may be reduced, potentially enabling Geely to offer competitively priced vehicles. Additionally, the system’s energy efficiency could mean lower electricity costs for drivers.

3. Enhanced Performance: The compact and streamlined design of the 11-in-1 technology improves vehicle responsiveness, making it adaptable for both urban and rural driving conditions in Uzbekistan.

4. Environmental Benefits: Geely’s electric vehicles could help reduce emissions, aligning with Uzbekistan’s goals for greener transportation solutions.

As Geely prepares for its market entry in Uzbekistan, the timing and availability of this innovative technology will depend on various factors, including consumer demand, infrastructure readiness, and the country’s rate of electric vehicle adoption.
