WHO: over 9,000 people died from coronavirus in the world in the last 24 hours

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the World Health Organization, the number of people infected with coronavirus infection in the world is more than 167 million 011 thousand, of which more than 3 million 472 thousand people have died (as of 15:59 CET on 25 May 2021).

Over the past day, 438 704 new cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in the world. 9 322 patients died.

According to actual data from Johns Hopkins University (as of 09:20 am Tashkent time on May 26, 2021), more than 167 million 638 thousand people have been infected in the world, of which more than 3 million 481 thousand have died.

The leader in the number of confirmed cases remains the United States, where, according to WHO, more than 32.797 million infected have been identified. In second place is India (over 26.948 million), in third - Brazil (over 16.083 million).

According to the WHO, over the past day, 13,925 new cases were registered in the United States, 196,427 in India, and 35,819 new cases in Brazil.

According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University, more than 1 billion 707 million doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide.
