Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Following the European Medicines Agency, WHO experts did not find a link between cases of blood clots and the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The WHO believes that the benefits of vaccination outweigh the potential risks, and cases of thrombosis can occur naturally or due to COVID-19 disease.
Since then, Germany, France, Italy and other countries have announced that they are resuming the use of AstraZeneca.
British and French premieres Boris Johnson and Jean Kasteks have already been vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Johnson said he was “very confident in the safety of the AstraZeneca vaccine. But what is unsafe is to get infected with COVID."
Uzbekistan has already received 660,000 out of 2.2 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Mass vaccination with this drug will begin on 23-24 March.
