Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-September 2022, 8.0 million tons of vegetables were grown in Uzbekistan, the State Statistics Committee said.

Vegetable production increased by 2.8% compared to the corresponding period in 2021.

Grown vegetables by regions:

Andijan region - 1.3 million tons

Samarkand region - 1.2 million tons

Surkhandarya region - 876 thousand tons

Ferghana region - 819 thousand tons

Tashkent region - 800 thousand tons

Bukhara region - 674 thousand tons

Namangan region - 613 thousand tons

Khorezm region - 404 thousand tons

Kashkadarya region - 403 thousand tons

Jizzakh region - 308 thousand tons

Syrdarya region - 215 thousand tons

Navoi region - 214 thousand tons

Karakalpakstan 201 thousand tons
