Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the legislation "On additional measures to provide the population with housing through mortgage lending based on market principles":
- the practice of setting the maximum standard for the area of an apartment when paying subsidies for a mortgage loan to citizens with low incomes and in need of better housing conditions has been abolished;
- subsidy for reimbursement of part of the initial payment - a fixed amount of 32 million soums, subsidy for reimbursement of part of interest payments - is paid in a part exceeding 10% during the first 5 years;
- the subsidy is paid even if the price of the purchased apartment exceeds the maximum size of the mortgage loan. Moreover, if the price of the apartment exceeds the maximum size of the mortgage loan, the rest of the cost is paid by the borrower at his own expense;
- When receiving a mortgage loan, citizens also have the right to attract other persons who do not live with them and are not close relatives as co-borrowers.
