Despite the fact that the tournament marked the first overseas performance of the team, the guys showed an interesting game and the general development of basketball in our country. In a competitive battle during the tournament the team lost only twice. Player Hayitaliev Azizbek and the manager of “Westminster Wolves” were awarded diplomas in nominations “Best player of the tournament” and “Best coach of the tournament” respectively.

Basketball club “Westminster Wolves” was established in 2011 by the initiative of the university students. Since its foundation, the team has successfully played in the top basketball league of Uzbekistan. Regarding the further developments, the club administration has expressed the following: “We’ll move forward and achieve even greater success for the team and the national basketball in general”.

Apart from the WIUT team from Uzbekistan, teams from Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan also took part in the “Victory Cup” tournament. The first and second places were divided between the national Kyrgyzstan team and “Kupchinskiy Olympus” from St. Petersburg.
