Himself an instructor in the AFC ‘C’ Coaching Certificate course, one of the highlights in the AFC U-13 Festival of Football currently taking place in Tashkent here, Abramov thinks the South Asian nation is lucky to partner with the AFC in organising the annual extravaganza.
The AFC Coach of the Month (March, 1995) told The-AFC.com: "I think this is a huge contribution by Uzbekistan and the AFC in the development of youth in football, as well as the coaches, doctors, physios, referees and many more. I am very pleased to be a part of this festival.
“For me, this year’s festival will be my sixth. Besides the four festivals in Tashkent so far, I also participated in two other festivals abroad. I can see for myself the effects of these festivals.”
The fact that the AFC and Uzbekistan Football Federation signed an agreement a few years ago to hold the football festival for four years in Tashkent says that there is very good relationship between the two organizations, feels the Uzbek.
“Here I would also like to highlight the focus and commitment of the Government of Uzbekistan in the development of football in the country. As a result, Uzbekistan is able to conduct such a major sporting forum in our country,” said Akramov.
The FIFA and AFC coach instructor feels that his country is lucky to have a very good educational experience as the host of the festival.
“We get to enjoy a lot of improvements as the host of an event of this magnitude, where people in football get a very high-quality education of the game,” he said.
