Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the World Weightlifting Cup in Thailand, Uzbekistan team won 3 gold and 1 bronze medals.

From 31 March to 11 April, the Weightlifting World Cup was held in Thailand, in which 466 athletes from 110 countries took part.

Uzbekistan team won 3 gold and 1 bronze medals.

Thanks to these results, the men’s team took fourth place in the medal standings after the DPRK, China and Armenia.

All awards were won among men in the up to 109 kg category.

Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Akbar Juraev became the absolute champion in this weight category, thus bringing 3 gold medals to the Uzbekistan team.

Another Uzbek athlete, Sharofiddin Amriddinov, won a bronze medal in the snatch.
